Hello 2/3 Families,

This morning, we started learning about runoff with Lily from Clark Fork Coalition. Despite technical difficulties, students still got to observe runoff in two different areas at home. We will have a follow up presentation next Friday to expand on what the students learned.

In English, we have spent a lot of time with The Lorax, by Dr. Seuss. Have your child show you the Flipgrid assignment from this week – the 2/3 students have some wonderful ideas on what to do to change the world!

We will continue to use The Lorax for a variety of projects the next three weeks, so if your child did not listen to the book, please help them find 20 minutes to do so.

Next week, students will have their first spelling test. Students will visit Flipgrid on Wednesday or Thursday to listen to the sentences. They should do the entire spelling test independently, but they may benefit from your support in sending the completed test to Anneliese via Google Classroom or email.

Next week, there will be one project to connect weekly Spanish writing with the unit of inquiry. It will be just one assignment that is explained in Google Classroom, due on Friday.

Have a wonderful weekend!

The 2/3 Team
