What is Everyday Mathematics?
Everyday Mathematics is a comprehensive Pre-K through 6th grade mathematics curriculum developed by the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project (UCSMP) and published by McGraw-Hill Education. The UCSMP works in conjunction with feedback from education specialists, administrators, and classroom teachers in order to enable children in elementary grades to learn more mathematical content and become life-long mathematical thinkers.
The Everyday Mathematics program is celebrating 20 years of research and development and offering schools results unmatched by any other elementary mathematics program. It is currently being used by about 4.3 million students in over 220,000 classrooms.
The Everyday Mathematics website has a page “For Parents.” It is organized by grade level with resources and information intended to support and guide you with questions that may arise. Please access this site by clicking here.
